Hi, I'm Romain.

I grew up with music, studied design, and ended up writing code. Today I build products from start to finish, and the interface is still the part I care about most.

How I got here. Music first, then design, then code.

I never really switched careers. The three were always there, they just took turns.

  1. ChildhoodMusicGrew up in a family of musicians. Music studies from childhood, a first diploma at 18.
  2. 2009CodeTwo years of computer science at university. Too much physics, not enough code. I left.
  3. 2011DesignA bachelor's degree in communication and graphic design at Université de Savoie, then a graphic design internship in Manchester.
  4. 2014MusicBack to music for a professional diploma (DEM) as a drummer. Small apps coded on the side, for fun.
  5. 2016CodeRealised the side project was the part people would pay for. Switched to code, for good.
  6. 2017Design & CodeFirst job at Smiirl, hired by the CTO for the code and the design eye. Everything since has used both.
